    Wilson with a Redfearn/Hignett as no 2.

Wilson has a good track record and knows the leagues inside out.

Gutted for Flicker - absolutely lovely guy who would run through a brick wall for his players but unfortunately limited tactically and got found out. Wish him the best of luck for whatever club are lucky to have him next in whatever capacity.

Let's act now Mansford, and get Danny back!!!!

i personally wouldn't go for wilson. would be pandering to history for me. i'd love to see either warnock or ollie. but i doubt either of them have the fire in their belly for it

Wilson's track record appears to be taking clubs to the play offs where they promptly **** the bed.

I'd happily lose in the play-offs at the moment.

In fairness to Danny if Ched Evans had kept his zip on his pants closed United may well have gone up automatically or failing that beaten Huddersfield Town in the play-off final.

Not Judas. Nor can I see anyone doing much better. I am sick of this business of sacking Managers every year. How we ever going to progress without continuation. I've had two phone calls from s/t holders who will not be renewing because of this attitude. I do believe that without continuation of management, the flow from the academy will be disrupted to an extent where we will lose our best youngsters.

i get what you're saying, but there's no way we could have continued to risk our league status with flicker. that's the worst i've seen us play, for a long long time. 6 wins from 31 league games, and he's been backed with every assurance he asked for. was the only decision tonight.

Did you not enjoy the football that we played when he was in charge ? I despair at the crap that we have watched this season.

Yes I did, that was then this is now. We has a club have changed since then, our expectations have changed. I don't want Wilson to come and for him to do poorly as this will stained the memories i have of that time. Time for a proven manager who has no connection to our club.

For me football is about entertainment and wanting to go to the game, Danny gave us those things so why not again, any so called proven manager will have almost certainly already been sacked by someone else.

Wilson has a good career record. 40% of games won. Another 30% drawn. That's about 65pts over a season. He knows what he is doing.

    I agree.

I can't believe so many people don't seem to want the only manager ever to take us to the top flight to be in charge again.
He won't have the same success as last time, I'm sure. But I think he's shrewd enough to get us to 4th bottom come the end of the season, which I would be happy with right now.
