... as unlikely as it seems.

McIndoe came to BFC with the reputation of a player who is constantly banging on the Chairman's, not the Manager's, door.
It happened at Donny - and we'd be a bit thick if thought it was going to change at Oakwell.

What is Gord supposed to do?
Hold a knife to his throat?

Gord may have screwed up, in my opinion, 289 times ... but how can he be blamed for allowing a player to leave, who doesn't want to play for us anymore & will do anything to get his own way?

Sack the Gord, sack the Gord, sack the Gord ... but not for letting McIndoe go.

He certainly wasn't playing like he didn't want to play for us anymore

As committed a player as we had at the club. Ran his heart out.

    Good post.

I'm still disappointed with the Ritchie debacle but you cannot keep a player at a club against his will. If Macca had an intention of sticking with us then Wolves' offer would have been turned down....like Southends offer for Hayes was.

Difficult start to the week, and wouldn't have been a easy choice at the end of it.

Is Gordon now a puppet for Patrick Cryne and the situation isn't his fault?

Too many cooks and all that. Someone in the Chronicle dug up an old quote of Patrick's "I try not to get too involved. If it got to the stage where I was making the decisions it would be a fiasco. I don't really know anymore about football than the ordinary man on the terrace."

He was playing out of his skin

...to attract a bigger & better club and it's worked.

Southend made a crap offer for Hayes, that's why it was turned down,

where's all this come from that McIndoe had asked to leave? Only thing that has been said is that the offer was too good to turn down.

Or he was playing out of his skin

because he's a pro footballer, that's his job, and he has a lot of pride and passion about his own performance.

Oh aye, Macca contacted him personally did he?

Approaches go through the club, fees are agreed first.

I've got my own issues with the BFC hierachy but ******* hell fire, what else could they do here ? They have to operate in the real world, not the rarified atmosphere where everyone does all they can for BFC no matter who they are.

I don't think we can knock any of the current squad for lack of effort.

They've just not been good enough.

    I wholeheartedly agree

The team we've got is not great, but I've never had a problem with their effort. I didn't go to Palace like.

OK, So McIndoe has been trying to get out, saying things

about Ritchie's management and he wants away cos Ritchie won't bring in any new players despite the fact we've got money to spend. So the board sack Ritchie and then sell McIndoe, and the money was there all along, is that really what you're saying?

    Me neida.

From what I've seen the players have given 100% which I think they have given since Ritchie took over. I just hope that the new manager can inspire the same dedication...and get a few wins.
