    Well I was loathe to criticise the ref in my report but I should have. You reminded me of that incident in the second half when he paced out, what was it.....15 yards for one of their free kicks near our goal?

    He was, just like all of them really, inconsistent with his decision making on all counts. Bad fouls on us unpunished. Innocuous challenges or good tackles by us penalised. Sending OUR thrower back a few yards and letting theirs steal ten yards or so.

    He was bad for both sides I suppose but thank goodness his was a minor role in a great match for us.

    When you consider how biased towards Rochdale he was the score line was incredible

    Remember an article about Nigel Miller a few years back, he was off work with stress ( police force ) but was being a linesman in football league matches while on the sick

    What about the incident where the ball went out of play near the half way line, Williams tried to steal a couple of yards to take it and he sent him back a further 10 or 15 inside our own half.

    Who the feks addressing the assessors, week in week out blatant (not unseen or dubious interpretations these can be excused ) discriminatory are being let go by the fa judging panel.
    I know refeering is a very hard and solitary task but with the help of the assistants most of these should be avoidable imo
