I'd show him the inside, put him on his right foot and his head explodes... Easy

If I was hill, I'd make him wear a flip flop on left foot the remainder of this weeks training. Same goes for our other left back.

Professional footballers who can only use one foot.. Shocking.

Aha! Someone who agrees with me.
I think Goldborne may have a right foot, but he's too distracted by the nosebleed he might get if he progresses further than 40 yards out.

He's not on his own for sure. It really winds me up that professional footballers who train every day cannot use their weaker foot during the course of a match. Even right at the very top of our game, the likes of Ashley Cole are the same.
It's usually the left footed players that are the worst for it too.

Daft thing is, I've got 13 year olds in the team I coach who can use both feet without thinking.

We practice, practice, practice... Wrong foot shooting, wrong foot passing routines, wrong foot ball control and even wrong foot five a side. Eventually it comes naturally.

I remember reading bobby charltons biography years ago and as a kid he often practiced shooting wearing a slipper on his good foot in order to make him use the other one. It worked superbly for him, because as a professional he could hit the ball as sweet as a nut with either foot.

Slippers all round in training tomorrow flicker

Well there's at least 4 of us on here that think it's downright pathetic that a PROFESSIONAL footballer cannot use both feet equally well.

Cue posts of disgust from people defending our overpaid "professionals"................

I think the main culprit has gone to bed early. Probably fumbling in his pyjama bottoms cos bobby wasn't a world beater tonight

What gets me he never puts in a first time curling cross, when he has the opportunity, whilst the defenders are running back towards their own goal, he stops the ball looks up and the chance has gone so its sideways or backwards again across the back four.

despite the bashing you're all giving him, some of which i agree with, i think he's been one of our better players this season. it is a vast improvement over McEverley anyway.

I thought he played quite well yesterday, made at least 3 key interceptions during that first 10 minute Alamo session.

I don't think the two footed thing is as simple as that. I agree you can certainly improve the capability of your weaker foot or hand but it isn't only a practice thing, it is also about the level of dexterity and control someone naturally has, which varies in inidivduals. You can obviously improve that ability, but due to the way the brain works and differs from person to person some will have a greater capacity to use their weaker foot or hand.

Not bashing him at all, think he has been one of our better players this season, its just that what I put above frustrates the hell out of me, they all have their foibles thats why they are playing for us.
