........ even he would give us far more striker options than what we have now.
Latest interview by Hecky indicates that he would probably do the same.

In Heckys latest interview he has echoed what I have been saying since the end of the transfer window - we are stuck with changing formations because we have been left with only 3 strikers and they are all of a similar type.

Makes yer wonder what the foooking hell the club / CEO was playing at during the transfer window.

Probably looking at all sufficient striking options within our price range and wage structure. I don't remember many available strikers of quality that fit within those parameters in the summer.

    There's literally dozens out there.
I heard of just one - just the one - that Hecky said would give us more options and was a threat in the air.
    McBurnie.

The club seems to have concentrated on bringing in defenders and midfielders - where they did a great job - but striker options was just a passing thought.

They were concentrating on goalkeepers so they forgot we needed a striker.

I don't agree that we are switching from 4-4-2 to 4-5-1 because of the striking options, it's more likely because of the midfielders at PH's disposal and their individual skill sets.

We could have a physical presence like a Romelu Lukaku or Diego Costa up front but that would still leave us in a position where our central midfielders aren't yet capable of effectively competing at Championship level in a midfield two.

I also note that PH in his post SWFC interview says that playing with one central striker actually allows us to be more attacking to get more bodies forward.

    There he is again mcbastardburnie.
    He's like the **** that won't flush.
He's probably a decent striker but the way some on here bang on about him you'd think he was greavsie. Hasn't ugbo got a similar scoring record at a similar level?

I agree. I think we're better suited to 1 up front because we've a collective of number 10s as opposed to being light up front. Bradshaw did well as a lone striker for Walsall for 1. I reckon Thiam would do well in that role too.

Too expensive to have printed on the back of our shirts, the fans wouldn't take to him.
