to offer the job to someone else other than Flitcroft.

    Relegation guaranteed

How can it be possible to get more out of the team than today?

    Please explain

We may go down. That performance today would have us up near the top of this league

    We'd gobble up Div. 1

After today's game it appears that he has got the players fired up for the fight ahead, my only concern is that next time we loose he and the board will get slaughtered and the 'told you so brigade' will be rubbing there hands!

Real tough call for the board tomorrow

I think the call has already been made. And had they made that decision yesterday, they would have seen everybody wanting Flicker out and Higgy in. Honest opinion - I think it's too late. Decision made before the game, Flicker to leave the Club tomorrow. Don to get slaughtered. Again.

Agree 110%. Bet Don is now cursing his luck. But if the decision was made yesterday, when everyone seemed to want Flicker to jog on, we as fans cannot critcise if he does indeed get overlooked tomorrow.

    No it isn't

Can it not be seen that we are playing a more positive way? With players either unchained, or desperate all of a sudden? the word that springs to mind is "urgent"

    This lot are well capable

    We know

    We've seen em

They need to find how to plonk it in the net

    that costs

I don't know where this urban myth that Flicker had no support yesterday has come from. He had quite a bit of support and while there was a clamour for Hignett there was absolutely no substance to these calls. I have defended Don quite a lot over the last few years but if he did make the decision yesterday and he's ****ed it up he will deserve the criticism he gets.

If we go down we won't have many of those players!

I do agree, it's all to do with the comical and the Hignett piece. Rowing hasn't helped by saying he's moving in a new direction. For me he's waited until after the game, and must have been persuaded by Flicker

If that is the decision, based on some kind of fact other than reality then I won't go again this season.

I'd just like to state that the person making the decision would not have Ben there today...Don will do as he's told.

I have a bad feeling you could be right and that the players were playing for him today cos they knew it was his last game. If that's the case then I will be furious. Moreover, for anyone who was calling for flicker to go before today then you should be looking inside. We need to be patient with people and give them a chance. If he is not appointed then for me it will be the biggest FCK up I've witnessed in my time following this club and I will begin to lose faith . And for me to say that is quite significant - as I am usually forever the optimist.

Tbh Roy, before the game I was in the anti-Flicker camp. So I would have to shoulder some of the blame, if the decision is based on fan feeling. I saw something today that changed my opinion almost completely. But still have a horrible feeling it's going to go a different way.

The only thing for me, is how Don expects to be able to justify that announcement, after he sat and watched today's performance.

    We'll see..

If deals have been done there ain't no going back. Your point about justifying any such deal before having given him a chance is a good one. This could be even more embarrassing than having two people turn is down publicly. Not even Alastair Campbell could put positive spin own that scenario.

Firstly it definitely isn't Don's decision, it's Patrick cryne's. Secondly, if they did make a decision before the game it's hard luck but understandable, the majority certainly seemed to be of the opinion they would rather have someone other than Flitcroft. I would be surprised if hignett does come in though as I'm sure all the chronicle said was that he'd applied for the job and heard nothing back.

    Are we saying....

... that the decision will be based on what a percentage of people on this board want?

If that is the case we are in trouble
