When that soft scouse lad ended up off the pitch from the shoulder of Big D, the game had no reason not to start straight away.
They can’t restart play when they are behind the goal within the lines of the box. Too close to play to be deemed safe.
We still need to move those advertising hoardings it seems we are prioritising advertising money until someone ends up getting seriously hurt.
Never a pen. He’s actually had the shot and his momentum took him. Glad the ref remained strong tbh and didn’t fall for it.
Never a foul, especially when comparing it to the one in the first half when their lad gave MDG (?) a proper push and he went into the wall in front of the ponty.
On the plus side the moveable advertising boards on the East stand side have been up by the empty original wall of the stand for the past three games, so are hopefully staying there now.
Just my observation of the highlights (especially the replay) . He shoves him a split second PRIOR to shooting as I see it. 2 wrongs don't make a right. I'd have wanted it tbh from what I've seen. At the game I thought differently but wasn't sure. (Trying to steady himself)
Ive always thought the concrete walls around oakwell are dangerous as well as the advertising boards. And i once played on oakwell and during the game a guy went flying from the pitch straight at the wall head first - luckily he landed where a gap was for entry into the stand and missed the wall. It should have a safety mat on for games imho. Very dangerous. and yes advertising boards on the pitch should be the foam type.
I was seriously worried when Killip was frantically gesturing for the physios immediately. Especially because he’s used to seeing people going over them and the fact that it was an opposition player (I know it’s still a person and he’d care either way but it did make me think it must be bad). I was glad when the guy stood up and he was fine.
Andy Liddell once got shoved off the pitch and flew through the gap in the wall straight into the West Stand. Lucky not to be seriously hurt.
