...he would gets shed loads of abuse wouldn't he? Just seen it on The Championship and it looked like he lunged in first and Walton retaliated. He may well have put his studs into Anderson's back but our player certainly made a meal of it! I don't like to see that kind of behaviour on any football pitch. Looked like Macken's goal as well
Haven't seen it on TV but at the time I thought it looked a definite sending off, although I was embarrassed about the way De Silva was rolling around. I wish he wouldn't do it. It does him no credit.
But he would yelp, wouldn't he South American/Latin temperament etc etc. I like him as a player very much but this kind of reaction is just not necessary. Maybe Walton gave him a nasty dig with the studs but it looked a bit innocuous on tv
He made the most of it I dont like it either but thats how football works now I dont agree with your view he lunged in first - it was a hard but fair challenge. Walton kicked out with studs and certainly made contact. Trouble is that refs seem to need dramatics to take action - had he not rolled around the ref might not have taken the correct action - and there is no question that should have been a red. Look at how many free kicks they got by falling over as if shot. To be honest I had more of a problem with Leon flinging himself down for the penalty
Obviously its very clear to see...............its a left over from the Sheffield United match Bloody hell..........some on here cant put 2 + 2 together
RE: Obviously its very clear to see...............its a left over from the Sheffield United match What the hell has it got to do with Sheff Utd.? I dont like the Blunts , but bloody hell , how on earth is Da Silva rolling around , their fault? I know you are going to say that he needs to do it to make sure the ref sent him off, but if I was ref I would have booked him as well as sent the opponent off. Maungy bleeder.
RE: Obviously its very clear to see...............its a left over from the Sheffield United match It is :$ he didn't need to roll around THAT much. But at the same time, he reacted v Sheff Utd & we ended up being without him for the rest of that game + 3 more matches!! So at least he didn't get sent off as well
i'd say it's more to do with the other match than sheff utd the one where the opponent nudged him with his foot and anderson rolled across the pitch from east stand to west, started crying, then crawled up grove streeet, round the back of the ponty and back into the ground through the disabled stand in tears at the obvious pain he was in.
Come on guys....................................................... Our lads got a bit of a physical battering yesterday. Studs in the back I should imagine is pretty painful and Leon had more than one set of stud marks on his thigh from very high tackles. I thought that after the sending off the Plymouth players had a spell were they were trying to get one of our lads sent off. It was nice to see we didn't fall for it.
RE: He made the most of it Looked a proper penalty to me. Seen it once on tv too, still looks like a penalty. Players always go down, but I thought he genuinely had his leg taken. Maybe I need to see it again?
