Ronnie Wallwork, brought in Atkinson sooner and signed a LB we'd be midtable now i'm sure. all academic now but makes you think, the team andy had was not too far away. now we're a millon miles away.
I tend to agree mate.... We would still have needed a left winger though due to McIndoe's departure, but Hayes could have played there and us brought in someone like Shipps or Constantine and im sure we would have been a lot closer than we are now. The few fans that wanted Ritchie out must seriously be wishing he was still here now.

Correct. The two games that followed his departure we won. If Ritchie had been given these 2 extra games, who knows where we would be.
RE: If Andy Ritchie had ... ...Nardiello fit at the start of the season I feel that with the chances we were creating we'd have scored more goals.
Yes I admit I'm a Nardi fan but to watch the way he's lumbering around the pitch at the moment makes me wish he wasn't playing.

RE: Correct. If we had Nardi then, and Richards now then things would be a lot different. We were creating s shed load of chance that were falling to Richards - whose major weakness is composure and finishing. Now, we need people to stand up and be counted, and we've got Nardi in and Richards on his way. An interesting thought is this. Have Richards and Nardiello ever started a game together??? We've had all kinds of pairings, but probably the 2 players that would compliment each other most - a target man and a finisher, have never got the chance.
RE: Richards V Nads I think people miss the point when they say Richards misses loads of chances that Nardielo would have put away. Richards gets the chances because he works had and runs is socks off so he gets into the positions to score goals. Nardiello on the otherhand doesnt work hand and doesnt get as many chances.
RE: Richards V Nads Richards does work hard but he also missed chances that fell at his feet. Nads tended (notice past tense) to put them away.
Tell you what when the ball fell to the feet of one our players in the play off semi at Hudders I'd started cheering as I saw who it was... I KNEW it was going in. Nads was just starting to look a player in the final few matches of last season. When he broke his collar bone one sensed that our striking options had been somewhat fecked. However Rico, McIndoe et al did very well at the start of the campaign it was was always 'Richardssss .... oh he's put it wide..' too often (Derby away when 1.0 up)

Cant think of too many mate But Rico and Nardi started together in Play-off final. Hayes was on wing IIRC.
interestingly......... they started against Walsall away and the 3 playoff games-my guess is they would have been the starting 2 this season-barring the injury of course-with hindsight an immediate replacement for Nads should have been fetched in
