    we should cut all diplomatic ties immediately and rescind independence as they are clearly not fit to govern themselves.

    They are saying what they need to now to get the votes from their base, they'll start shifting once they have the nomination.

    Rick Santorum blames the NHS for the collapse of the British Empire because he thinks social welfare likes that makes people dependent on the state and essentially lazy. One of the times you are genuinely glad to be in this country; even the die hard Tories who think like that to such an extent in this country are on the minority right wing really, pretty much a mainstream view in America.

    How can anyone who doesn't believe in evolution in this day and age be fit to run a country, it's ludicrous. There's no place for Religion in politics. It's not about being decent or nice either it's about making good decisions. Somebody who is incapable of looking at a wealth of evidence and coming to the correct conclusion isn't capable of making good decisions for the good of a country.

    Whilst I agree wholeheartedly, I enjoyed Doug Stanhope on Charlie Brooker's Newswipe who basically said, i used to be embarrased when I spoke to English people about America and us electing George Bush. Then I found out there was a royal wedding. Seriously, you people still have prince and princes? What else do you believe in, fairies and elves?
