</p><p class="first-para bold padding-bottom-7">SOCCER star Paddy Kenny has been dumped by his wife ? for one of his pals.</p><p class="article">The goalkeeper with Premiership club Sheffield United is devastated after wife Karen kicked him into touch last week.</p><p class="article">She enjoyed a romantic weekend in a hotel with her new love while injured Paddy, 28, was being treated for a hamstring problem.</p><p class="article">A friend of the goalie said: &ldquo;He is distraught. He really loved Karen and assumed they had a long future together.</p><p class="article">&ldquo;They were even in the process of moving house ? so he obviously thought they were making plans.</p><p class="article">&ldquo;But in reality she was having an affair with his friend behind his back. It came completely out of the blue, no one had any idea.&rdquo;</p><p class="article">The mate and his girlfriend socialised with Paddy and Karen. Another friend said: &ldquo;Karen and her new fella have had a long weekend together in a hotel.</p><p class="article">&ldquo;They kept it secret where they were going.</p>

 

I thought Padded took it quite well.

He seemed to earn a round of applause from the Ponty at one point (only noise they made all afternoon) What was that for?
