...... and Hecky still believing McBurnie is a potentially good striker and wanting to bring him in during January - then the McBurnie deal needs to be on a permanent basis - not a loan. Maybe a swap deal plus add ons. Let's hope that if or when the new owner is in place - that they listen to what Hecky has to say with regard to players - and instead of loans - we actually bring some of these budding stars in on permanent deals.
In principle I definitely agree with you, especially as Yiadom's cash value will be minimal by January. Whether it's realistic is another matter.
Maybe if this takeover is done before the January window we'd have the clout to give Yids** a good contract and bring Oli in on a permanent. **along with all our other players who are due for renewal, and provided that money is actually a factor for him, not just PL football.
Is this kid from Swansea McBurnie a proven championship player or a prolific goalscorer I think not, there's plenty more fish in the sea, as for Yeiadom, if the new owner as a bit of cash to throw about he should make sure Yeidom stays if we want to progress because what I've seen this year of all the other full backs they are hit and miss and can not lace Yeiadoms booits.
