say in some kind of ambassadorial role or perhaps football in the community and visiting schools/college's on behalf of BFC? btw i am not fishing but just asking the question.
Re: If Bobby hung up his boots in near future could/should he still be involved at BF I think hes been doing some coaching badges, I would have him involved in the academy as a coach,or youth player development role
Re: If Bobby hung up his boots in near future could/should he still be involved at BF I'm sure he has a lot to offer, in either coaching or on our community and schools engagement efforts which have waned badly over recent years as we've balanced the books. If I was Maurice I'd have him leading that side of things. But I'm a visionary.
Re: If Bobby hung up his boots in near future could/should he still be involved at BF I'd love to see Bobby in a community role given the great work he does already. It would be good to get him into the coaching set up for when Flicker is headhunted for a Premiership job in 18 month's time so that the club has continuity! He'll be our manager one day I'm sure.
Re: If Bobby hung up his boots in near future could/should he still be involved at BF Have a grandson who plays for a Goole team and spends some time at the Keepmoat. Bobby spends some time there doing a coaching course.
Re: If Bobby hung up his boots in near future could/should he still be involved at BF Definitely and not just because of his loyalty but also because he is a real ambassador already. He's a credit to the club and to football and would be a real asset for us in the future an any role that was offered to him.
Re: If Bobby hung up his boots in near future could/should he still be involved at BF Bobby is a fantastic ambassador for not only the club, but the game itself. He deserves to have his testimonial year on a decent enough wage and then when he feels the time is right finish up and hopefully stay on with BFC in some roll.
Re: If Bobby hung up his boots in near future could/should he still be involved at BF Bobby will go on playing for a few years yet fitness permitting, hope he's not reading this on his birthday. Hang up his boots? The shame!! Bobby has coaching ambitions, so I see him playing as long as he can in the lower leagues then pursuing that. It's very unlikely it will be at Oakwell, but I think he will stay in the area and continue his community involvement.
Re: If Bobby hung up his boots in near future could/should he still be involved at BF He should be. But he won't.
Re: If Bobby hung up his boots in near future could/should he still be involved at BF It's a yes from me.
Re: Yes, yes and thrice yes Guy in local area, Maybe Coach? how good his he? There seems to be a lot of coaches at the top end now (u21/u18/u16). If the club are going to appoint a youth coach when he's finished playing i think that's more likely to be Colgan. Already works at Really junior level and he's someone the club could do with.
Just giving my opinion As requested. Having met him on a number of occasions, knowing his involvement within the local community & the respect he's held in, I believe it'll work to the benefit of all parties.
what if does not hang them up though ??? he might put them in his garage next to some paint tins, or leave them in a holdall in his boot. He might put them on the shoe rack in the hall... the one he may have got from Ikea. What would happen then ?
Re: fence... FENCE ?? Bobby deserves a role for the work he has done already. Ive worked on a project along side community trust and he's the only player I ever saw in 2 years, he was giving up his time left, right and centre. Plus he's a really sound bloke, very approachable. He's a perfect ambassador for the club, and players like him can add a lot to projects around the club.
Re: If Bobby hung up his boots in near future could/should he still be involved at BF Think he has a role to play yet. As a footballer. When.he is retired. Ambassador. No question.
