Although I doubt anyone will be very impressed, can we please get 100% behind him and the rest of the team. It'll only make it worse if you get on his back.

    Ppppplllleeeeeeaaaaaassssssseeeeee

ok, after the 1st goes in, can we have The Ponty chanting...

"There's only one Nicky Colgan" ?

Years ago, I remember Clive Baker leaving us and Phil Whitehead poxing things up. As Brighton (I tihnk) scored a late winner with Phil 40 yards form his goal, The POnty welcomed him with "There's only one Clive Baker" with some venom, it has to be said.

We were s*** that season too. But not division 3 s***.

I left my sisters wedding to watch that match ........

We had signed Butler and Whitehead that summer , and he went with Whitehead .......... oh dear!!!!

More amusing was when we had loads of keepers injured and Whitehead had to come back into goal ....... I dont think it got
    any better for him!(furious)

    Yup

I seem to remember Phil Whitehead having an absolute nightmare every game when he first played for us and his self confidence was shot to pieces . He didn't get anywhere near the first team for another eighteen months ! However ,when he DID return , he turned in some top class performances . He left the followin****eason , as he didn't want to be third choice keeper behind Lee Butler and David Watson . Every time he played against us , he played very well and always got a warm reception from the fans . I hope Colgan can do somethin****imilar , as to have two good goalkeepers on the books would make a pleasant change .

Whitehead turned out to be half decent...

but most of his highlights were after he left us. I think the goalkeeping theme was rotation that season. They were all "alright" without being that good. But after years of Clive we'd been spoilt.

Now, after years of Miller, Marriott and Colgan...(shudders)
