Would it make you wonder about his awful penalty miss against them recently?

Brum fan, already tapped up etc etc

I'm not saying its true but it has crossed ones mind

There were a few people at the time saying that the miss was so bad that it had to be intentional. I just thought that it was pi55 poor technique but if he does sign for Brum it would certainly ignite the conspiracy theories.

Yes but at that point he wouldn't have been on their radar. I think already his agent would have spoken to a number of clubs and Brum would be the one he would like to go to.

Birmingham not signing anyone until they sell, not got a pot to piss in, which is why the keeper is going. How do you tap someone up, when you've got Nowt to offer?

Think it was just an awful penalty to be honest. If he was trying to be sneaky and deliberately miss he would have put it just wide or over or miss hit it soft enough for the keeper to get it. Or even just say quietly to the keeper where it was going. He wouldn't put it 8 miles high and wide.

In any case I think he's a professional who wouldn't dream of doing something like that.

I don't think he is a Birmingham fan. I know he's from the city, but he seems to support Arsenal (judging by his Twitter account).

And, Birmingham don't have a pot to p*ss in, so I doubt they'd sign him. They've already said they'll probably have to sell Butland this month just to avoid administration.

Davies rarely hits the target during pre match warm up so it was no surprise to me he put the ball into orbit

The ball eventually landed in the middle of Stairfoot roundabout...

I don't think he would have deliberately missed.
Instead of just striking the ball he thought too much about it. Taking a penalty is like driving a car. When you start to think about what you are doing your coordination goes.

I think us heavily watering the pitch despite the rain bucketing down played it's part in the missed pen as Davies lost his footing on the wet surface.
