This is my message to you-oo-oo.... Ben Mansford. Pass it on and let's get busy saving our season. I'm putting my foot down.
Danny's the best candidate, if he wants to come back. We're already on a hiding to nothing. Gets my vote - not that democracy has owt to do with it. We're already doomed, give him a go to the end of the season. Them he has an out with reputation intact.
Re: I'd be amazed I know what you mean Kev old flower. No manager wants a relegation on their cv that wasn't of their making. Another way of looking at it is that it's a no lose situation, as many supporters already have us down.
I wouldn't have a problem With Wilson getting the job. In fact, I'm quite relaxed with practically all of the suggestions made this past fortnight. However, we haven't set on any Championship experienced manager since we returned to this Division. So the club would have to break with recent tradition in order for the likes of Wilson, Warnock, Holloway, Megson, Mowbray, et al to be appointed.
Given the choice I'd prefer us to go with experience. But I don't know whether we're an attractive enough proposition for that type of manager. Not only our current position, but the salary we're prepared to offer (including bonuses), January transfer budget, whether we're prepared to allow the manager to bring in his own staff and so on.
Re: Given the choice I think we would be an attractive proposition to Danny at the moment. He won't get an offer from another championship club. Don't think any of the other names mentioned would come to us, for the seasons you stated, budget etc
