........ in the same way that Morgan did Hume, and put him out for the season, or even ended his career for good, do you think Kevin Blackwell would have said .......... 'these things happen in rough and tumble derby games, we've just got to forget it and get on with it'? No, I don't either, he would be squealing like a pig about how the 'challenge' could cost them promotion etc. etc. and for that very reason alone they should publicly condemn the 'assault' on Hume and fine/ban Morgan themselves without waiting for anybody else to do it
spot on fella, justafter the dee-dah derby, he was bairning about how dirty the fowlswere against his players and said "brian howards practicaly got his eye hanging out",yet we have player in hospital with a life threatening head injuryand he and morgan are still hiding behind mondays half arsed get well soonstatement, come out and face the music you spineless tw*ts.
Unfortunately there is a sad lack of respect coming from Sheffield United They, somehow, think they are immune to the criticism levelled at them.
Nothing to do with respect with possible legal action their solicitors will have told them not to make any comment that may prejudice their position
The problem is mate, football in general is riddled with ..... ..... hypocrisy like this, look at Arsene Wenger, moaning like **** cos Adebayor and Walcott got crocked at Stoke but has that man EVER seen his players do anything wrong? No, because he's always looking the other way when summat happens, how many times has he said ....... 'sorry I can't comment because I didn't see the incident'. Blackwell is just another example of it. It's time that managers/clubs took some responsibility and disciplined their own players and stopped turning a blind eye when they are clearly in the wrong. If they want to turn a blind eye when they are in the wrong, the very least they could do is not moan when summat happens to their own players. Talk about wanting the penny and the bun!
The only person who force that is... ... the referee ! If the referee had the support of TV evidence and the backing of the FA in terms of punishments, then we wouldn't have to worry about Mr Whingers temporary blindness. If we had that, then we wouldn't have the uproar we have today because the incident would have been reviewed and dealt with DURING THE MATCH. I guess the people who don't want TV replays are the same ones who don't want ID cards (dunno)
