don't talk daft. Throw away his compo. Plus he honestly believes he can do better. I'm for giving him till Christmas myself, that is unless we can attract someone with a proven track record.
Mr Davey has failed in the objectives.. set very publicly for him by Mr Cryne - ie that he deliver continuous improvement (57 points or more) and that he keep us clear of the relegation fight.
If Mr Cryne is true to himself, Mr Davey has to go.

Problem is... ...the league will be nails next year. Leicester, Peterborough (Leeds?), West Brom, (Newcastle), (Middlesbrough), Keane inspired Ipswich, moneybags QPR? If he spunks the new television money on some Venezuelan striker then we'll be halfway to relegation by the time you want to give him the boot. I'm not optimistic at all about next season, even less so if he's still in charge. (yeah, I know I should be enjoying the moment today)
New Manager, new start. Christmas could see us in a similar position to this season. I hate talking about sacking managers but you have just said it yourself that you aint confident he can take us forward by making the comment, give him till xmas.
but is'nt that part of the problem paul.d Daveys thinking appears to be out of sinc with everyone/ most others.
no way he'll resign, he'll find it difficult to get another managment position, so why walk away from 2 years managment pay
exactly Dan. It would be idiotic. Personally I don't see why he should. Cryne has taken a bet on Davey by giving him such a long contract, why should Davey let him out of it? Plus Davey believes he can improve and do the job better next year.
He would bite the bullet and walk away, he will never be accepted as a Barnsley manager because he`s too dull and dour , and Welsh!
