What are the positives and negatives of him being appointed (put his political beliefs to one side and base it on football alone) Positives: He will take no crap and give the current mob a kick up the backside. demands proffesionalism, dedication and pride in the shIrt he will get them fit and playing attractive football. Negatives: Ex Wednesday volatile, unpredictable and eccentric to the extreme. rumours at Sunderland that he totally ignored the English staff and only spoke to the Italians. due to the volatile abrasive attitude unless we are very successful I can't see him lasting long, which is exactly what we don't need. Thoughts?
On a footballing note he's proved nothing.blamed p!Ayers for his failed tactics and his divisive nature of players and fans makes it a very crass appointment imo
Really don't see this happening, it is so far away from our supposed "plan" its absurd. If it were to happen there is not a snowballs chance that it will in any way long term and we will be here having the same discussion again in around 15 months time. If our "plan" is now along the lines of taking wild punts then we may as well just admit that there is no rational plan at all and advertise the managers job as a raffle prize.
I don't know, I'm still trying to come to a conclusion as to what I'd think if he was appointed. (As unlikely as it is). But another bit of info I've just read though is that, according to Stephen Fletcher, DiCanio didn't allow the players to laugh or smile during training!? :s such was the professionalism he demanded. An interesting character to say the least.
Mario those chilli nuts from the manx must have sent you blind, I did say political beliefs to one side.
If would be a bad appointment in my view. Beyond the fact he only ever brings strife, I just can't support a self confessed fascist. So I'll support the Club, but I wouldn't support him
Really not sure how it is possible to analyse the pros and cons of a blokes suitability for the managers role and leave aside the fact that he is a fascist.
Positive. If the players aren't putting in a shift. He will wave his arms around and stamp his feet like a lunatic. Cos that's a problem we have right cos our previous managers haven't ?
Positives - he's clearly a passionate bloke. When he's sacked we'll be able to shrug it off. Overriding negatives. He'll be divisive for fans and pampered footballers alike. Biggest ego in football I can think of.
Positives : Anyone is an improvement on the Messiah Negatives: whoever we appoint is a gamble whether we want them or not!
Your a tory aren't ya? I can see you blaming Wilson for the next X years. Change the record lad. You got your wish and the rot started way before he ever came back.
Yeah the 'agent orange' nuts have definitely done lasting damage. He's not my first choice but if he gets it then I'll support him. Political leanings to one side I'd rather have Di Canio than O'Dismal.
A Tory Lol Never vote for them toss pots! I haven't done records for years! Agree that the rot set in years ago! The problem is good old Danny boy accelerated it on an epic scale! MP3 is more my cup of tea!
I think it's wild we are having a serious discussion about it. I looked on in bewilderment when he was in management at the club's he was in charge of wondering whether it was genius or madness. Now it could be us. One thing is for certain, we will/would be under the spotlight by all - media, other clubs, fans. Everyone
