..its now.

Picking up from the thread about getting 15000 at home, it won't happen till the end of the season, and only then if we had a sniff of the playoffs (or god forbid needed something to avoid relegation).

If we can get the floating fans back NOW, whilst we're playing great football and have a fantastic squad, we'll get them back for good. We can up our average home gate by 2 or 3 thousand without too much effort.

Get some discounts in, 2 for 1 deals on full price match tickets, or even better 4 for 2. Get those numbers up fast. Have more family days or community days or whatever they're called, sooner rather than waiting till April.

It would be great to have 14000 home fans at Oakwell every game, and it might just help us to stay higher in the table come May.

not sure we need discounts etc as prices are extremely reasonable. PR is what is required 'come see Davey's reds push for the premiership' - tthe use of the word premiership is what will get people down to oakweel, good old fashioned glory hounds!

    PR? As in public relations?

    At Barnsley?

Give me a minute while I stop laughing. Money talks however in the town. Give people a discount and they'll come down. It doesn't mean we have to do it forever.

Tell me about it, doing my head in

I'm even tempted to move back. I hate missing games. Especially as I was at Bristol 2 seasons ago when we got battered 3-0 and they were lording it up about how fantastic they were.

I always miss the good uns!

    Thought it was 4-0 ?

One of my worst footballing nights ever that.

Someone drove into the back of me in Sheffield, was stuck in traffic all way down, got there with 15 mins to spare only to see us get humiliated with possibly the most spineless display ever.

Ah, if only it were possible to leave work at 5pm, crawl up through Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire, join the M1, crawl up that as well, arriving at Oakwell by (maybe) 9pm. Just in time for the best bits of the match as it happens. Hmmm, wish I had done it now!! :D

It was definitely 3, but that was the turnaround that season

Losing there in that manner was awful, we'd just lost to Donny at home as well when Doolan did his kung foo on McFrail.

But after that, I remember we went on a run starting with battering Oldham that eventually led to Cardiff.

I remember you telling me about the car in the ground. We just got in then gin.

Maybe for you they are, but some of us just can't afford to go.

Well heres's a solution Zoe. If you love the Reds so much, save your money and stop going to all these McFly concerts. Then you will be able to watch the Reds!

By the way, I did see you wearing an Italian shirt all those years ago.

I have a photo somewhere if I can find it out. - no problem though, I'm not bothered and I hope you're not love.

The Italians play better football than we can ever profess to do, - under the Clown McClaren!

I have seen you wearing an Irish one too.

Nice looking lads the Italians though!

    You Reds!

Wasn't the attack on McPhail the season prior to winning promotion?
