..... the chairman back Ritchie and go all out for Windass. Personally I think it would be financial suicide to waste £200k on signing him, and £6k wages (what hes on at BCFC, from a fan there) over 18 months. £650k wasted on the total package in my eyes. We should invest it in some players who can get us out of this league (not saying Windass can't). My options would be James Hayter, proven youthful goalscorer and Nelson, solid centre half we need from Hartlepool. Probably get them and 3 years wages out of a million quid.
You only have £1 million once in a lifetime (in this div), the chairman should invest wisely. I say hookers and coke all round for a massive morale boosting party to ensure the team is up for the promotion run in. And some jelly and ice cream for Shuker, bless him.
Searching around for alternatives to Windass, best I could come up with were: Ian Moore (Leeds) Andy Morrell (Coventry) Wayne Andrews (C Palace) or maybe a punt at Ian Hume (Leicester) all either on subs bench or not featuring at all. still think Windass is the number one choice, but I wouldnt go above £200k. And there's always Ian Evatt...
shipps would be good buy for us! Much better than windass imho! The pigs wont want him next year and he would be that "older head" to fetch our strikers on.
agreed. Dunno if.... ...it would happen but would be a much better signing than Windass. Maybe if we go up, could be just the man to lead the line.
