If Hayes Left Our Club In January - How many Of You Would Be Upset?

I for one would be
He ain't doing it for us.
That £150,000 we owe Scunny for his services really grates in my craw.
he os one of the worst strikers it has ever been my misfortune to see at Oakwell ovver the years and by God I've seen some crap

I cannot understand why Ritchie perserveres with them.
He does because we have no others.
I hope the Board will back him in January.
Our strikers are preventing us from moving up to consolidate our promotion push.
Let's face it, they are pretty crap.
Hayes never breaks sweat, looks completely disinterested.
Carbon was awesome today. Let's hope he stays fit.

Carbon was excellent today yes, not sure what he was doing when he put one over his own crossbar though!

 

We have the best Goalkeeper and Defence in the division, a quality, very talented midfield but then you look at the strikers, especially Richards. This is the only area of the squad that needs improving. Hopefully in January.

I watched 'em promoted from the fourth to the third.
I was priveliged to see the Pat Howard and Winstanley and Johhny Evans and Barrie Thomas up front, not forgetting Spud Murphy.
I bowed down to the great man Johnny Steele when he took us up.
I witnessed "Ronnie Galvin - always scoring".

And so on and so on.
Who are you to pass such a comment about my devotion to my beloved Barnsley FC?.
Fjortoft and Ward, Shipperley and Dyer.I could go on and on and on.

I never questioned your commitment to Barnsley Football Club. I asked you a question, because i honestly have no idea where you get the impression that Hayes is one of our worst ever players?!

Well, here goes then.
Here's the impression I have received about Hayes since I have watched him.

He starts every ganme regardless - so that gives us a basis to form an opinion - yes?

He rarely breaks sweat.
He has little or no pace.
He 'jogs' to a ball.
Winnable balls in midfield he just 'ball watches' and it inevitably goes to the opposition.
He has no real physical presence like a true striker should have - like them or loathe them, Shearer, Windass etc have this presences.
He never looks remotely interested or hungry to win the ball.
He doesn't get into ball winnable positions.
He doesn't read the game - today, several passes went to him from the like s of Shuker,Devaney etc and he was left wanting.
He doesn't frighten the opposition Defenders.
he never seems to head a ball in the box (OK Today he did!)
He is unaware of other players within the box

Just my opinion like!
