then I would invite him to try phoning the Box Office today.

We have a couple of visitors that I have convinced to go to the match with us tomorrow, but I've been trying all day to reserve the seats near us, to no avail.

    From The Main Site.......

HOMETOWN hero Paul Heckingbottom has appealed to the Barnsley public to back the Reds as they look for success in the Championship this season.

Speaking exclusively to www.barnsleyfc.co.uk, Paul said: "Our fans have been fantastic this season both here at Oakwell and away from home. They can see what everybody is giving 100 per cent and willing to run themselves into the ground to do well in this league and they have responded magnificently from the stands.

"If I am being totally honest then I am a little disappointed that there are not more Barnsley fans coming to Oakwell especially when you look at how many enjoyed their day out at Cardiff.

"I am a Barnsley lad and am desperate to see people from this town fill Oakwell. There is no reason why not as they have a Championship team playing attractive, attacking football to support.

"I want our supporters to bring their mates down here - even if they are not the biggest Barnsley fans - and we can virtually guarantee that they will see an exciting game. We are scoring goals and playing football the right way so there is no reason why we cannot push attendances up".

Paul added: "It is important for us to follow up the Wolves result with a win against Luton Town tomorrow. They are a tough team who are used to playing Championship football but we are looking for three points.

"This is the type of game we have to win at home. Luton are in and around us in the league table so we have to be taking three points against the, especially here at Oakwell.

"I was absolutely gutted after the Preston game because we put so much into getting something out of it. It does not matter how much praise we received for our performance, I was still very, very low in the dressing room after the match.

"We cannot really play the game any other way and will always go out to entertain and win football matches. We have to turn that into victories starting with the Luton game tomorrow".

Yes Paul we would all love better crowds. But at the same time it takes then a couple of months to make up for five years of crap. Give it time.
