Would we be any better off? We've lost out on Mick McCarthy YET AGAIN so we'd end up with Fred Buggins from Wombwell Warriors who we'd be told is an up and coming young thing destined for glory in a couple of years. Sorry, but we're heading in the direction of down, where we are meant to be. A club can ride its luck only so many times before fate catches up with it. A stupid thing to say I know, but it is SO noticeable that the teams at the top are there or thereabouts nearly every year (Cardiff, Leicester, etc) as are those at the bottom (Peterborough, Barnsley etc) It's not a fluke..... it all comes about through ambition.... or lack of ambition.
if you think mcarthy would come to us you are in cloud cuckoo land , he knows how negative the barnsley folk are , anyway we will get the new upcoming manager in lge 1 - steve davies , very positive guy , cheap and he would bring some of his new young stars with him from lge ..............................hang on a minute we have been here before
Ohh this all sounds so familiar and so sickening yet again, do we sack this over rated manager or stick with him a bit longer etc.. NO I dont think a replacement would improve us because of the utter rubbish that Keith has left us with (but surely if it happened, the replacement couldnt do any worse could he!!) And NO, Mick would never join us. He makes out hes our number one fan when hes a pundit on the telly but he would never lower himself to take up such a poor job.
Forget MACCA ever coming to BFC as manager..........he knows he's a folk hero and returning to a Club that is always struggling with relegation means he could end up losing his cult status.
If you think we stand a chance of him ever being our manager you need to go have a sit down in a dark room. He joins ambitious clubs with a good budget and a good fanbase. We have none of the three things I just mentioned. He would be totally barmy to risk losing his legendary status as a player with us by trying to manager us. When was the last time he managed a club with our budget? Probably back in his Millwall days.
