What do people honestly think could have been done differently? No-one appeared to come in close season and offer any of this big money lots of people seem to think he was worth. Player is only worth what someone willing to pay for them.

In my opinion he has looked disinterested, unfit and a negative influence on the team since FA cup exit.

Satdy we looked a much more cohesive midfield unit without him. Get a quick winger on left and I dont see a problem (apart from striker issues).

 

Should have made him play out his contract - he would have had to turn in decent performances cos he would have been playing for a contract at another club!

 

Yeah I can see the argument

but tbh if we play like we did against Norwich without him then I would prefer to have the half million in cash and say good riddance to him.

If a player is determined to leave might as well let them go and get players who want to play for the club.
