Then Davey should get either Chopra or Stokes thrown into the deal :)

£1.5mil plus Chopra or Stokes :D

I couldn't see Chopra coming, but Stokes - definitely.

Have you seen number of midfielders in the Sunderland squad....... do they need him?

    can't see it myself when they already have........ D.Whitehead, A.Riera, T.Tainio, C.Edwards, S.Malbranque, K.Richardson, A.Reid, D.Yorke, L.Miller, R.Weir, G.Leadbeater, G.Kavanagh, R.Wallace(on loan) and a whole host of young talent.

    There are a few players in the Sunderland squad I'd enquire about e.g. Defenders - D.Collins & P.McShane, Midfielders G.Kavanagh & G.Leadbeater, forwards - Chopra, Connolly, Stokes & R.Prica.

I reckon Keano would be happy for some of them to move on and others to get games out on loan.

can't see any good players coming from sunderland

if Chopra can remember and recount the appalling treatment by our many boo-boys in his first months with us.

I think he'll go back to Chelsea with Charlie Cook and Peter Osgood coming to BFC in exchange

Stead and 700k would be a decent deal but highly unlikely I reckon.
What concerns me is the fact that Howard leaving would leave us desperately lacking in midfield. We cannot possibly let him go without a repalcement. Surely???
De Silva is weeks away from fitness and may never be the same player anyway, Colace is another Phil Gridelet and Leon is extremely overrated.

If Howard goes to Sheff United Jon Stead won't be part of deal as he is going to Ipswich

Just can't see him moving to a team in the same league as us. Think the reason why he doesn't want to stay is because he's set his heart on a move to the premiership, and its too early to say Sheff Utd will deffo go up, cos IMHO i don't think they will

surely it would be suicide to sell howard before the colace thing was sorted out.

if Leon got injured we would be up **** creek.

    Just to confirm

Stead has joined Ipswich on loan until January, according to SSN.
