I'd watch them train for a few days. If there's a good atmosphere, if the players are doing as Johnson asks, if they're working hard and putting the managers theories in to practice, if there's a good relationship between the coaching staff and the players, I'd invite Johnson in to my office and ask what he needs to help put this right, then see if we could afford to do that. If there wasn't any of that, then I'd sack him, because if he's lost the players then we've no chance.
