If i was a soldier

    and i was kidnapped i'd sure as hell want people to come and rescue me. imagine being a squaddie and knowing that your own army would do sod all to rescue you if owt happened. it'd hardly make you likely to risk ya life while in combat would it? i don't blame the israelis for fighting to get them back but i think they should have actually tried to rescue them rather than just launch an offensive (bit like we did when we put tanks through a prison in basra to get some SAS boys back). Thing is, if they don't know where they are i suppose the offensive is the best way to militarily get them back but its all fecked up. 2 wrongs don't make a right but i understand why the israelis are fighting to get their men back

    The soldiers were kidnapped so they could be

    exchanged for Arab prisoners held by Israel, over 9000 of them are held, including women and children, many without charge. Exchanges have happened before, it doesn't excuse it, but the soldiers are probably still alive, unlike hundreds of innocent Lebanese civilians.
