i am the owner of bfc. i am trying to my best for bfc. if you dont like it shove the re¬newel up your arse dont come
on the one hand - it may seem like 'mob rule' where fans threaten not to renew their season tickets, but on the other hand - isn't it better to vote with your feet rather than cry into your beer?
it reminds of when bassetts reign came to A end dennis said somat like i sacked basset because fans never took to him .we ended up with spackmen and the rest is history
Quality. Good job you're not in charge then "If I was Cryne I would take my bat and ball, ner ner" Well, the fact is that the club needs to attract a healthy fan base, and keep that fan base happy and involved, or it will fold. Simple as that. What is any club without supporters? The truth of the matter is that Davey does have a frosty relationship with the fans - so it is only logical that he will be tolerated as along as he is getting results. When the results are poor over a sustained period of time, the chickens will come home to roost and the fans will want him out. If Davey had worked to build a better, more respectful, more honest relationship with the fans there would be more time and patience for him right now. Why do I say this? The countless number of after match interviews that Davey has given insisting that he has been right in what he set out with tactically, that he has been unlucky, that he can't be held to account for small adversities in matches, such as missed penalties - never accepting that he has got things wrong, and in such an example as the Swansea match at Oakwell, sending his assistant out to take the flack instead. He comes across as aloof, he comes across as arrogant, he comes across as distainful and disrespectful (in my honest opinion). This is compounded by the numerous incidents with several players who have been shown the door, all the while we sit and bite our nails at the bottom of the division with JCR getting picked as sweeper, Odejayi getting start after start up front, strikers coming off, wingers going on... Davey could have endeared himself to the fans, but he just never has. Most people just don't have a lot of time for him. Nobody is happy with just managing to avoid relegation. The fans have every right to tell the club that we've had enough. It's up to the club to respond positively, not tell people to sod off.
All I can say is that its a good job you're not running the club then. Thankfully PC knows that all fans are equally as valuable and that they are all entitled to their opinion. Many, myself included, have threatened to hit the club where it hurts by not renewing but in the cold light of day I will nore than likely renew as soon as my renewal form lands on my door mat whoever the manager is. It's called emotion and it goes hand in hand with fans. If the chairman was to tell me to shove my renewal up my arse for having an opinion I would vote with my feet along with many others I suspect.
if cryne listened to the fans who never wanted him, where would this club be now plus the club wouldnt lose a great amount of money IF SAY 500 season ticket holders dont renew, cryne shouldnt be bullied by a few who know fook all about running a football club
having listened to the interview it seems pat is trying to say he knows what the fans think and hes trying to lets us know the players trust davey and work hard for him and he's also trying to say hes having a word with davey about the problems the fans have with him so next week when he gives him his backing it will look like davey is willing to toe the line with the fans and with this very nice smoke screen the fans will renew there season tickets .
Let them go................................................ they will be back after a few wins. As I said in a previous post Real Fans can't keep away. Thats why 50+ years of my life has been spent following the Reds.
