If the offer is better from Charlton.............sell him to Charlton
If he dosen't want to go............bring him back to the Oakwell and ask him to sit at home until another offer comes in

Do not sell him for a reduced price to Sheffield United

If I was Brian Howard i'd do the same thing

Insist that I would refuse to go anywhere on loan and force the club that is refusing to play him anymore to pay me a years wages for doing **** all. That would teach them a bit about respect.

By the way, it was Barnsley FC that sent him for talks with Sheff Utd wasnt it?

Barnsley sent him to Sheffield United........don't thnk so

He went to Sheffield United because that was the only club open to him

Barnsley want rid ASAP........hence the wording of yesterdays statement
The last place Howard should go is to a Sheffield club or to Leeds
We as a club cannot afford to sell our best assests to our local rivals

To me it sounds like sheff utd made a verbal offer of a price we were happy to take then when they sent the written offer through they worded it so we would get the total amount but based on ifs and buts.

Fair play to BFC - they either need to pay what they offered with using clauses and add on fees.

I don't blame Barnsley for agreeing or turning down any offer really, that's upto them (though I do often disagree with valuations but thats life), I was just saying that if Brian Howard had talks with Sheff Utd it was because Barnsley made the decision for him to have those talks, not because he had taken it upon himself to have them so we can't blame him for having them.
