Why no red card? Not seen it so perhaps I should shut my trap, but he wasn't even booked. If it was handball (for those who saw it) did it save a possible goal? If so, should have been a red card.

agree mate. pretty poor officiating whichever way you look at it.

I was under the impression that if it wasn't deliberate then it isn't handball, maybe I'm wrong.

hand ball isn't auto a sending off or booking. looked like his arm was raised but wasn't deliberate in that he stopped a goal. Penalty nothing else.

Handball is an automatic yellow card actually

But referees up and down the country give handball without booking the player week in week out.

The rules state that an handball should be given when a player deliberatly touches the ball with his hand. The rules for cautions also state that a caution should be given for deliberatly handling the ball. ie if you give the foul its a yellow.

I thought it was red if it prevented a goal

But I've not seen it so I don't know. From some comments on here though it sounded like it was on its way in if Kozzie hadn't handled it.

Anyway it was a good point in any event. If we go down it won't be because of tonight. There are many other games to blame if that is our fate.

    Thats true

A foul that denies a goalscoring opportunity is a red card regardless of whether its a tug on a players shirt who is through on goal or an handball on its way into the net. Ive not seen it either by the way

yeah it was going in mate. it did strike his hand. it is debatable whether it was deliberate or not. My thoughts would be that it was not deliberate given that the ball was moving at extreme pace, but if you are going to jump at the ball with your hands out you always run that risk.

    IF we go down

If we go down I will blame
    my mate Warren
Kevin Blackwell for letting ball boys be part of his tactics
JCR for missing the pen v Forest
    Donny Rovers for being smug
    Chris Morgan's right elbow
Paul Walker, Keith Edwards & John Pearson
    and
    Yvonne

    They all have no excuses

maybe a ref will give handball but cannot for sure say its deliberate, is it still handball if its accidental? it cant be that refs make this mistake every single week if the rules are so clear.

Not blaming Davey or the players then?

    Apart from JCR.

I know you are joking but the league table rarely lies after 44 games. If we finish in the bottom 3 we will deserve it. I still don't think it will happen but if it does we have nobody to blame but ourselves. And by "ourselves" I mean the players, manager, coaches and all the backroom staff. Whatever happens now we have not been good enough and we need a massive improvement to compete next season even if we stay up this one.

Anyway, that's a conversation for the summer. For now, let's just get Wolves sorted then we can hopefully relax a bit.

    Of course I'm joking.

I'm amazed I can joke after tonight but I tried.

As for conversations in the summer, Mine will consist of themes for 40th Birthday Parties, price of Bathrooms, and efficiency of ne fangled cricket scoreboards.

Football, gladly will be OFF the agenda. :)

New fangled! And not enough red wine; and battery gone in wireless key board. :)

How was the test drive of NEW FANGLED scoreboard by the way?

    There was a teething problem

It worked perfectly when the opposition were batting, faithfully recording their 236 for 7 after 46 overs.

However, when we batted it went haywire. Somehow it only managed to display 131 for 8 after 46 overs. Must be a loose wire somewhere........

Glad "you" worked perfectly!! (have you had red wine too?!!) Shame about the score though.

Anyway, on the cricket front, at least there is good news. You need to speak to JP for details though.

Don't know what you are talking about

"IT" worked perfectly. I am far from perfect as most people know only too well.
