and assuming we are in the Championship still. With the aim being to progress up the table next season and assuming we have no financial pressures to sell and we have some money to spend.

Who do you keep for next season from the current squad?

    My picks:

    GK) Muller Steele
    RB) Hassell
    CD) Foster
    CD) Nyatanga
    LB)
    RM) JCR
    CM) De Silva
    AM) Howard
    LM)
    CF) Macken
    CF)

+Kozluk and Sousa possibly as squad players if we cant find better and the best of the young uns

Pretty quick to get rid of Leon then

Looks to have potential to me

I'd keep all your picks and I'd also keep Devaney and dont laugh Odejayi - both good players to have on the bench to bring on to change things

Shame Werlings Agent played silly buggers as I was sorry he went

    Im being fairly ruthless but

im sure Davey will be too.
Dont get me wrong i think Leon is very skillful but he lacks pace and strength. i dont think he'll fully adapt to our style of football. Hopefully im wrong cos its a shame when talent like that cant be expressed. if i did keep him i would place him in Howards position.
i also like Devaney but feel hes had his chance here and isnt consistent enough. We need consistent players like Foster in the side to progress.
I feel a bit sorry for Odejayi. maybe hes punching above his weight. Could loan him out for a few months to the league below. maybe goals will bring confidence

    Sounds harder than

Muller Lite anyway. Sadly one of them will leave cos Davey only likes one keeper, If he gets stuck he'll just loan another one.

    I'd keep Devaney and Kozluk

Disco as a squad player but certainly on his day he's a good player.

then we heading the right way. Its just our dreadful form really worries me, awful away and wins turning into draws at home, just hope we already got enough on the board to scrape upto 50 with whats left to play

going to stick my neck out here but i'd get rid of howard, 1) he's been sub standard this season compaired to last (bar the odd game) 2) with all the media around him thanks to his goal at anfield we could hope fully get a fair wak for him and bring in a couple of players in his place, pref a proven striker e.g eastwood (there's plenty of room for his caravan in the car park)

Is there such a thing as a "consistent winger?"

Overall, Devaney has done pretty well whilst he has been with us.

Defenders are "consistent" but Forwards are not.

Number of goals Fredy Eastwood has scored in his last 26 games

    none.

I think the point is you can shell out a load of cash and still end up with a goal shy striker, ie you would have expected Billy Sharp to bang them in this season by he also, has barely scored.

    Disco's gotta stay

    Here's who I'd keep

    Goalkeepers: Muller,Steele
    Defenders: Foster,Nyatanga,Souza,Hassell,Van Homoet,Kozluk
    Midfielders: Anderson,Howard,Devaney,Campbell-Ryce,Leon
    Strikers: Odejayi,Macken

Think we need to splash out some big money in the summer on a good central defender to partner Nyatanga, a good central midfielder, a hardman type, and a top quality finisher. Don't really know who these should be. Could also do with a few squad players, but of a better standard than we currently have.

Also, Leon is definately not good enough on the wing, doesn't have the pace. Don't think he's good enough to take Howards place either, probably going to be a squad player himself.
