We are only guessing that he has left the club because he cannot control his weight

.............but if its true - then he should hang his head in total shame

We know these footballers are just young kids...........but they have to realise what a truly privileged position they are in while being a professional footballer

To throw it all away because he cant stop putting the wrong type of food in his mouth is a sure sign of a very weak mentality

What a waste of money !!!!!!!!!!

In all seriousness, I don't think his body is ideal for the rigours of football. He's had so many injuries at such a young age, and his gym work seems to have hampered him too. Far too bulky for a winger. Similar happened with RNL. But both have the talent, and Jennings especially showed in that purple patch under Danny that he could trim down and play a key part at Championship level.

Good luck to the lad, but I'm pleased with this news. The last remnant of the Flicker project has gone. I don't include Nyatanga in that as he was here previously and Flicker never picked him anyway. And he's our best defender.

Is Paul Digby our longest serving player?
I thought you were going on a cruise round the Med, mate?

Thanks. Me too, buddy. But we both hate flying so we're at that nervous stage now.

I was in Liverpool the other week and talking to some boke about all things footy, when I mentioned I was a Barnsley fan, he said "Christ what have you done to Dale Jennings, he was in the Echo the other week and looked like a Buddha!!"
What a shame, loads of talent, wish it could have been so much different for him and us.

That'll not be a problem for the family & I when we make our way to Flamborough, shortly!:D
It's sad what's happened to Jennings. But ultimately, he has to look at himself. For the past couple of years David Flitcroft, Danny Wilson & Lee Johnson were all prepared to play him and give him an opportunity in the first team. The fact that he failed to grab his opportunity is both disappointing and extremely frustrating.

It's nothing to do with his DNA. All he needs to do is lean out and thats controlled by diet. He just seems to be incapable of eating the right things.

There were no fat b'stards (has you put it) in Auschwitz - no matter what their DNA was.

I'm no light weight myself and suffered for 10 years in the past with weight problems due to health complications - which have now been sorted out.

But neither am I a 20+ year old kid that's been given the opportunity to run about all day kicking a football while someone pays me £££1000sss

Pat Cryne must be sat with his head in his hands after hearing this news.
I feel more sorry for Pat Cryne at the moment than I do for Jennings.
