    Jason Gillespie looked better up front though than when he played in the Ashes.

    Quite possibly

    They've moved into the Asian qualifying group (or perhaps Asia and Oceania have been combined to form one group) ironically because the current system was preventing them qualifying because they had to play off against a South American team.

    So they will have more qualifying games, probably against poor quality opposition and qualify more often - same sort of scenario as with USA

    yep the whole ranking system is a joke. some of the qualifying sections as piss poor.

    The world cup has some really weak reams in it, the Euros are a lot tougher to win in my mind
