..........we had got a squad at the begining of the season like the one we have now !!!!!! If we had Hume fit and all these other guys in from the start we would be going for promotion. On paper, we have a fantastic squad right now. So it makes yer wonder what the hell is going on behind the scenes at Barnsley Football Club. Do we always have to wait until relegation comes a knocking before we sort out the playing staff ? From the START of the season we need the right players in to see us through the season. We then need to add a bit more spice to the squad come January - not decide in January that we need half a new team, like we are doing right now. We cannot start a season with the likes of Mostto and Odejayi hoping and praying that they will come good - this sort of team management is a recipe for disaster We may have got away with it last year and we may get away with it this year but eventually we are going to be caught out. Directors and management of Barnsley Football Club please get this sorted out.........how many more seasons have we got to endure this topsy-turvey turmoil ?
yet apart from foster, who divvy davey keeps playing at right back, we haven't got another decent centre half at the club. the reason donny are doing well is because they don't concede, even though they are the lowest scorers in the league
You keep posting exact same thing everyday nudge. everybody gets your drift man, the squad we had in place at beggining of season was good enough and still is good enough to stay in this division, we have fetched these players in to help keep us up
No I don't........... ................although I have mentioned it a couple of times in the past. But I have not got a really sensible response to what people think about the constant spate of panic buys half way through a season. How can we possibly hope for any kind of success with this tactic ??? Your latest offering is typical of some of the past threads and just adds to the confusion. You say......... "the squad we had in place at beggining of season was good enough and still is good enough to stay in this division...........we have fetched these players in to help keep us up" Now if that makes sense then I'm a...................
Didn't Simon Davey say at the begining of the season that we have a leaner, smaller and better squad than the previous season. Moore, Colace, El Hamouir, and Hume were brought in to booster a squad that only just survived the season before. Moore was slow to get into his stride, Colace was waiting for a work permit, El Hamouir had a decent pre-season but was found out when he played with the big boys and poor Hume had a short carreer for us. Hardly made the squad better, and with a poor start Davey and his players were coming under pressure. Now the squad lookes better with the loanees, but it still does not guarantee we will survive this season, another centre half and a left full back would have made me and many more fans a bit more confident.
