I am not going, what’s the point?

over the last week or so we have seen loads of debate as to why gates are down.

    YES it is extremely expensive.

However, when a game is destroyed like Saturday was what’s the point

    Mr Rennie is absolute disgrace

Watching football for over forty years theres been three occasions when I could easily have walked out during the match, once at Grimsby when Banks was unfairly sent off,the Willard fiasco and saturdays game.I go to football to see a game good or bad not some arrogant jumped up official and like Tyrone if Rennie officiates one of our games in future I will not attend.

I personally think that it would be more to the point if the club refused to take part in any further match where he was officiating. IMHO they should be putting forward a complaint and making that assertion. It has been done before, by other clubs and has been successful. In this day and age, the old chestnut that "the ref is always right" is a load of rubbish and it is time that the FA and Football League got together and made Referee's accountable for their actions. Players and Clubs are being fined and banned all the time for alledgedly "bringing the game into disrepute" when are the Referees going to be subjected to the same rules?

    Two bookings

I dont think either was a booking Sent off about 10 minutes after half time the score was 0-0 at the time We won 2-1 with goals from Glavin and Cunningham 1982-83 season

    Can't remember personally

We were sat in the Findus Stand. The coldest stand in the known universe. Banks was going through a fair bit of poor form at the time but the Grimsby programme claimed him to be our danger man. It produced a few smirks amongst the Barnsley fans. His sending off sort of summed up how dangerous he was to the opposition at the time.

    I was behind the goal

never forget Cunningham running from the halfway line towards us before rounding the keeper and scoring He did the same at Derby as well

He's a deedah, has made it known he doesn't like us ....

... and he is also one of those refs who likes to be the centre of attention so his performance came as no surprise to me.

Someone should have a word and tell him that the sign of a good referee is when the fans don't notice the referee on the pitch at all.

It makes me laugh that the Premier League get shut of him then he ends up reffing in our league. If they get to the top and then are shown to be incompetent they should be retired, regardless of their age. He's not fit to ref the Longbow Juniors, and even then he'd manage to stir up some controvesy.

It's a pity we couldn't get a decent result because I'm sure we would still have been critical of his performance even if we had won and it carries so much more weight when the criticism can't be laughed off as sour grapes
