I won't be attending any more matches, at least for the rest of this season.

Assuming he gets the caretaker role, fine, but if they then do a Davey and give him the job then it's the final nail in the coffin for the club under the current regime for me.

I backed Hill for quite a while. Too long probably. But even I said he had to go two fixtures ago. In truth he ought to have gone four or five games ago, some would argue back in the summer.

The statement said 'positive move'. For this to be positive we need a replacement that will revitalise the squad and equally importantly the supporters. We play better in front of bigger crowds by what I've seen. So the new man needs to be somebody who will gain the respect of the squad from his name alone and attract fans back by reputation. It has to be a reasonably big name for me if we are to have any chance this season, two or three results would push us back up the table and start off momentum, or is that unrealistic?

Other than that it may have to be a cut your losses appointment and appoint someone to get us back out of league one after a full rebuild. But I don't think we're so far behind that we need to do that.

I completely agree, we cannot afford another 'on the cheap' Davey style appointment. Personally I think we have left it too late to get out of the mess we're in so whoever comes in needs to be able to get us back up at the first attempt. It's not just the amount of wins we need to survive that make me pessimistic about our chances but the state Hill has left the squad in however we do have a sprinkling of quality in the side so with the right man playing the right players in a good formation there could be a miracle but I won't be betting any money on it.
