If SD does go only one man for the job, Paul Jewell ticks all the right box's.
He did a fantastic job at Wigan and Bradford on budgets similar to ours and he's available. Ok he didn't do as well at Wednesday or Derby but is there anyone out there with better credentials and experience.

Personally I think he'll be given a chance to keep his job for a couple of months.

Wigan had a similar budget to us?

    Really?
Thought Whelan was loaded and pumped millions in to the club

Name any of there big money signings while they were in the championship. Whelan pumped millions into the club when they got into the premier league and even then the were astute singings.

They spent big money on wages etc

whilst in the current League One, mainly on players from the Championship or even Premiership to enable them to go up the leagues.

WOW that's massive money, I take it all back. Paul Jewell's a Wa**er as he bought his way out of the championship.

Wigan had the highest wage bill per supporter outside of the Premiership. A proper "Pimp my side" club.

I agree with you, thinkhe'd be a good man for the job, he spent just over £2million in 2 seasons in the championship and got promoted to the prem, don't think it owuld be a bad thing to bring in somene with some experience.

    Has anybody mentioned Derby

What an absolute mess he made of this club early season. With him they would be relegated. I know they were near but they survived because he left.
