hahaha depends how much cash they have doesn't it?

Do you mean Barnsley borough or just areas of Barnsley itself?

If I was going to choose somewhere nice to live within the borough I'd probably want to live somewhere like Cawthorne or High Hoyland or even Silkstone. Nice and leafy western side of the borough. Places I would probably try to avoiod include Kendray, areas of Lundwood and Grimethorpe. But to be fair nowhere is that bad in my opinion. Most villages and areas have good bits and bad bits. If I was wanting to live close to Barnsley centre I'd probably choose to live in the Pogmoor kind of area.

You want proper Tarn folk ?

Or folk who will avoid the word 'Barnsley' at all costs when telling you where they are from ?

Aye and we used to return fire with interests..

I remember them days well, all summer long Kendray versus Bank-end/Worsbro Dale.
Ironic thing was, the lads that could actually handle themselves from both sides used to sit together on the bankings and laugh at the others battling. Them wor the days atellthi. :D

Darton, Silkestone and Mapplewell nice areas. All 10 minutes from Town centre with good M1 links to sheffield, Wakefield and Leeds.
