If Steele wants to try and get a better deal elsewhere

there are a few keepers available. Personally i would really like to go with alnwick but we would need to bring someone into the club.

Not after bait's. I'm just fed up of people treating Steele like he's this amazing keeper. He's not.

He's a good shot stopper but a lot of keepers are. He can't catch and he can't kick.

This he's one of the best keepers in the champ, No No No. Stockdale, Amos, The polish former manchester united keeper at Brighton. Almunia at Watford. The Argentina keeper at palace and Kasper at Leicester. All better keepers. Like him or hate him. Kenny at leeds, way better.

Okay he's 40 put Wigan had Pollitt and he's 41.

 

I get your point, but by saying it over and over again, it's getting very tiresome and repetitive.

 

There's a bit of truth in that barbed remark but, the fact is, we've had a lot of keepers that can't catch, kick or stop shots. Forgive us for wanting a keeper with some talent - he's a good keeper as long as he keeps the ball out of the net somehow.

Just because a players been at the club a while, doesn't make them good. Normally the best players will leave.
With Keepers you don't really notice anyothers so you think your is either the best and the second keepers the worse.
I don't think that's the case Roth Red. i think they are both good. I think you could teach Ben the things he doesn't do aswell. I think Luke's got a mental block on the things he doesn't do well.

 

IF ONLY the listed are better than him, then that still makes him the 4th best goalkeeper in the championship for next season. Are we going to be able to find better if he leaves?

 

Played around 15 games in 5 seasons.

 

I think you just have to take it on the chin that most people are willing to forgive, ignore or not even see his weak points and instead look on him as someone who tries his best when he is between the sticks for Barnsley and has won more games for us than he has lost. He ain't perfect, but few of us are.

So, by your logic Steel is the 8th best goal keeper in the league (and one of those now plays in the prem) and you don't think that's good enough for us?
