........ straight away in the form of securing our Championship status this season. Therefore - will they be sat at the table at Oakwell on the last day of the transfer window to ensure Barnsley bring in the players they need for the first half of the season ?
Hecky said the deal is with solicitors. It can take an age for solicitors to sort things out. The sooner the new owners are involved - the better for all concerned. We need an input from them before the transfer window closes.
After reading up on the American chap involved this will be done at a rapid pace. He's be trying hard to buy an English club for some time. Also worth reading the links between clubs bought by foreign owners recently and HS2. Seems these guys are interested in more than football. Though I'm a bit of a Victor Meldrew at heart I'm actually getting quite excited. If Barnsley gets much needed investment from foreign owners and we all feel benefit from it, well it's better than waiting for Whitehall to help us out. Jobs and a football team on the raise what's not to like?? Rose tinted glasses or have they added something to my bottles Bradfield of Sixer?....
Don't get me started on HS2. An overpriced vanity project of outdated technology that has already ruined so many lives, will continue to do so and is set on destroying the countryside all so that the London economy can once again benefit.
I'm with you regarding HS2, anything government comes up with will always have a hidden agenda and we need better transport links locally not like you say an already outdated one which only benefits London. The thing that interested me was how some foreign owners are looking to invest in the local area they've settled in, jobs etc.
I very much hope so. It would be absolutely fantastic if it was done before this transfer window closes. Even if it isn't - but it's close - the new owners need to help Hecky as much as they can. Years ago I remember when I bought a house and the mortgage lender wouldn't give me a mortgage on it until I'd secured certain parts of the house. Same applies here - let's have this season secured and then it will give them time to think about next season.
When I say secured - I mean players brought in that can slot straight into the side without Hecky having to spend weeks bringing them up to speed. That is to say - lowering the risk of relegation after a very turbulent eight months at the club.
Dont worry if the government wanted HS2 to help the north they would start building it up here it will run out of money at birmingham then get scrapped
