It will be played either Tuesday 12th March or Wednesday 13th March so only 2/3 days notice. Let's be hope any Brighton fans who made arrangements for the original Barnsley/Brighton fixture on 16th Feb and have made further arrangements for this Tuesday aren't left out of pocket again. Wonder why the replay isn't a week on Tuesday like all the other cup replays this year? Not a moan just an observation!
Was told that last week james. The ticket office staff have been told they have to work sunday if it's a draw.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but wouldn't that mean that people wouldn't be able to choose where to sit, season ticket holders not be able to get their seats etc?
Seriously high five to the travelling Brighton fans. That's some trip on a Tuesday night. I reckon we should give every one of em a free pie
Er, no. It's a small pastry based savoury snack. But hey, I have no idea what specialist publications you read.
STHs should still be able to sit where they want piece of piss. Something like...... Box Office: Sunday and Monday season tickets only. STHs allowed 2 per booklet. This would allow them to get their own seat, save the staff some work by getting tickets for others and pay on card. East Stand Turnstiles: Non STHs Monday and Tuesday. Cash only. Then on matchday on Wednesday do first come first served cash only as many as you want from East Stand turnstiles again. This frees up the Box Office for those wanting Brighton and Watford tickets. Even Wednesday ones if they are around by middle of next week.
The Blues have sold out all three home FA Cup ties this season with Watford, Leeds United and now Barnsley all hosted in front of capacity crowds. The Championship clubs have all played their part, too, each bringing 6,000 fans to create an electric atmosphere at the Etihad Stadium as the thought of Wembley draws ever closer. The FA have today confirmed that if Saturday’s game between City and Barnsley were to end in a draw, a replay at Oakwell would take place on Wednesday 13 March, kick off 7.45pm, with tickets set to go on sale straight after the final whistle. The Blues would receive 5,000 tickets priced as follows: £23.00 - Adults £15.00 - Over 65s £15.00 - Under 18s £5.00 - 5-11yrs
