to me he was insighting being pushed. If he was the supposed fit 40+ year old why was he labouring in a way that seemed to be winding police up. If I had a dozen coppers up my arse with a dog I'd prob walk a little quicker.

But surely the police have limitations that they have to abide to? (dunno)

There may be repercussions for that bobby

cos he already suspended pending an investigation. He got to justify his actions and then CPS will make a decision on any prosecution. I am always suspicious of the way the media portray certain things. I have seen the footage and it looks pretty bad but I just wonder what happened beforehand to lead to the shove? Certainly something must have happened.

    I'm 28.

For years you hear from the older generation how bobbies just gave you a clip round the 'ear'ole when you did something wrong. The same people (and I agree) think that type of 'intimidation' or whatever you can call it is lacking these days. Folk just go on about police being too soft... then when they are not there is uproar. No win.

The Tube shooting was a big mistake, but that tosspot George Galloway was on about that and now this G20 death. Err a couple of high profile deaths in how many years? When thousands of incidents happen everyday the police have to deal with.

Roll on the next celeb tragedy to replace the bloody same speal we heard last few days in media.

what about the woman who was slapped and hit with the truncheon?

    disgraceful.

    No excuses for either incident.

BTW saw some positive (IMHO) police work this aft.

It looked like some idiot on a trials bike was having his bike confiscated for riding on the trans pennine trail.

    Same again

Definately didnt look good on camera but media only portrays part of the picture. If the officers cant justify their actions then I think they will have a problem.

One other thing to remember is that Police procedures in normal day to day life differ from those in large scale public order incidents. It is not feasible to arrest every single person in the middle of a large scale public disorder. Consequently different dispersal tactics must be employed, to quell such disorder, hence the baton strikes and pushes seen on footage from the G20 (and also at many football matches, Bradford riots etc). However any such force must still be proportionate and justifiable.

I doubt it. There were too many cameras on him after the incident.

    Watch the footage.

Read the reports that say witnesses found him smelling of booze.

I don't think being a bit pissed is quite a capital offence quite yet. Easy target.

He was "insighting" being moved out of the way. The copper knew how hard he was pusing him. He and others like the one beating the womanare a disgrace to theprofession andscrew it up for all the rest. We have to see past the uniform and remember we're talking about individuals, most of whom are decent people.

That squad he is a memeber of seems to be a Law unto itself.

They were at Wembley and I remember thinking at the time why some of them didn't have numbers and why they covered their faces up.

I'm sure that squad aren't selected on how nice they are.
