Where is the motivation coming from? He can do whatever he wants, without any possibility of getting fired. This is my (and most on here) worst run of results in my lifetime, with nothing to suggest it's going to end soon. I'm sorry to say LJ has to be accountable for this run of results, purely because he doesn't seem to be learning from his mistakes - it can't all be down to bad luck or their "keeper having a worldie". I wouldn't mind so much if we were at least playing entertaining football, but were not. We seem devoid of ideas and that stems from the manager (or head coach) and his tactics. Time to go LJ.
I can only imagine that they are negotiating a settlement because anything else would be beyond any form of common sense. Let's give them time to pay him off, by this time Wednesday we should be rid.
If Johnson put as much energy into directing and managing his team as he does into arguing with the opposition bench and jumping up and down screaming at the referee like a petulant little child then perhaps he would fare a bit better as a manager.
Not having a clause that says a manager can take a team deep into he relegation places and still command a fee to be sacked is barmy. What is stopping a manager from deliberately being crap and engineering his own sacking so he can sit on his arse getting paid for being sacked? That's not an accusation at Lee Johnson or a dig at bfc but a point about football in general
it looks either like they are waiting for this takeover to happen or for lee johnson to turn it round
Devaney was sat on ck becketts table other night and then day after he got job back at club , we never know what goes off in background re this takeover
Do you seriously think anyone goes into football management to fail? Many managers get a chance, don't do well and are never seen again. If LJ doesn't turn this round, who's going to look at him again in the near future? Do you think he wants to sit on his arse all day doing nothing? I know you aren't saying he specifically is doing that but if you think any professional football manager has ever deliberately underperformed I think you're being silly. Maybe contracts could contain such a clause, but then the manager would want a clause that they get x amount of transfer funds to ensure they avoid this and so on. It'd become very complicated.
