Match Day Report Barnsley v ************ Barnsley totally dominated the first period of the match. Chances came and went and Barnsley on several occasions were unlucky not to take the lead. On 21 minutes the visitors had a break away and scored against the run of play. Barnsley again pressed forward after the break but the defence of ************* stood firm. On the hour several attempts by Barnsley went begging. One attempt roled across the goal mouth and only needed a touch but unfortunatly no Barnsley player was in 10 metres of the ball. The visitors went close twice in the second half but the majority of play again fell to Barnsley. At the final whistle Simon Davey said his team had given everything but had been unlucky in front of goal Final Score Barnsley 0 - 1 **************** For ************* put in any team in the Championship
Yes, we had that problem last season.......and PC said the club would deal with it However, SD has said today...........the club is NOT going to deal with it That means...........we must endure, at least at the start of the season, matches where AGAIN we hammer a team but walk back to the TARN after the match having lost 0-1 or 0-2 etc etc etc Totally mistified and down hearted, because as fans we can see the problem........so why cant the people running the club also see the problem. And all because the forwards we were promised have not been delivered. I hope I'm wrong, but the team this season has only added Hume in that department............while 3 strikers have left the club, Nardia, Stan, Christenson. So all in all the situation at this moment in time looks worse than last season
Where was davey tonight? His post match comments seemed to come from the mouth of someone who was at Oakwell tonight having witnessed/endured that pathetic "performance"
RE: only 0 - 1 thats very flattering for Barnsley..... 2 or 3 may be more realistic nt Agree Dragon, and IMO there's **** all more to say from me on the matter.... I'm off to kick some ass now.... (banghead) ....
