Brilliant batting performance, especially with so many runs on the board. Topley needs dropping and he struggles in the field too. Think about 200 would have been a par score on that wicket and short boundaries. I think i would have fancied knocking a few to be honest. Well done England anyhow.
f they could just get the balling together they would have a great chance of progressing but I would have fancied my chances against most of our attack. I know Topley is rated in our conditions but he just looks hapless out there and his confidence looked shot. To stick with the boxing analogy, that was like somebody coming back from intensive care to finish it
Very difficult for both sets of bowlers on that wicket. We have one of the best batting sides in the tournament but the bowling is average. It would have been a lot more potent if Broad would have been a possibility (if SA play Stein then why not Broad for us). Think we'll do okay.
It looked out of reach at the halfway stage. But until the other team bats on the same pitch nobody really knows if it's a good score or not.
