Why didn't Glock come in for intermediate tyres like everyone else? Then he would have been miles behind Hamilton and couldn't have influenced the race at all. Some people are so full of ****.
any idea how many places back he would have ended up? Would he have dropped out of the points completly by coming in?
Some people don't like seeing British success and can't handle us being good at anything without questioning it, and no i dont have a clue why that is
Thats far too obvious see my reply to Supertyke. I think some people just cant accept a British win fair and square
No it actually made no difference He was 6th before they all dove in for tyres so probably would have stayed there had he done the same as everyone else
Then like Jay said, that reason is obviously out of the question so it's fair to say that Toyota themselves had nothing to do with any fix so then you'd have to look at Glock. He could easily have fixed it to make sure he let him passed by simply slowing down but why would he do that? I can't see any benefit to him at all other than if he had actually been paid off and I find that highly unlikely because McLaren weren't to know who would be in front of hamilton before the race started.
RE: any idea how many places back he would have ended up? Glock was just behind Kovalainen when Kovalainen pitted, so assuming he held station through the pit stops he would have been one place worse off had he pitted. Despite the time loss on the last lap, staying out on slicks was the right thing to do and had the downpour come just 30 seconds later Glock's bravery would have been a master stroke. As it was, he gained a place, but I bet he didn't enjoy that last lap when the car must have been all over the place. In the end Hamilton can consider himself a touch fortunate in this race, but luck evens itself out through the season and he'd done enough in the other races to win the title. He is an excellent racing driver and fully deserves the title. People are looking for controversy, but there just isn't any there.
bad reporting and commentary didn't help matters when they completely ignored Glock's slow speed until 1 second before Hamilton overtook him. They were too busy trying to get up Lewis' arse that they took their eye off the ball and as a result the viewers were left to assume that Glock slowed just for that corner. I also think that a lot of the bad feeling towards Hamilton from english fans has been a direct result of ITV's obsessive coverage of him since he joined F1.
RE: bad reporting and commentary didn't help matters I think it's because people are pricks and can't stand others to do well. This board is full of that type.
it's not just this board though Jay, if you do a quick search around the net there are a lot of people that didnt like lewis because of the way ITV favoured him so heavily. It's a shame because he's a good driver (though nowhere near as good as he could be and hopefully will be in a few years)
Just as Hamilton passed Glock on the last corner....
you can actually see Glockalmost spin and lose it...Slick tyres on a wet track is like driving on black ice
