Got to be a chance there.

Just needs an arm round him and someone to believe in him I reckon.

I dont think Hughes wants to sell him

and Celtic wont guarantee him first team football. City owe us a favour I believe for the start of their European campaign. With Roeder now out of the picture, I see no reason why we couldnt be first in the queue to loan him once Bellamy and probably Santa have signed for them.

    Some players

Foster and JCR being prime examples, are playing by far the best football of their careers at Barnsley. You may not want to give the manager credit for that, but I do.

Fine if that's what you believe, your entitled to that. However, what about the rest of the squad. What about Johnson, Mossto, Christensen, etc. etc.

They were bad signings. Simon Davey makes mistakes. When he does I say so, but I also give him credit when he deserves it. Not everything Simon Davey does is good, but not everything he does his bad. Unfortunately some people only see the bad.

    RE: Some players

There are 23 members of the first team squad, 25 if you count the 2 kids. Were they all bad signings except the 2 that you mentioned?
As I said in another thread, the good things, few as they are, go uncredited because they are what are expected, it's what he is paid to do.
It is all a matter of opinions I know and if you feel that the good things outweigh the bad then no doubt you'll be satisfied. Personally, I don't think that they do and consequently I am not satisfied.

he has only made 37 starts in the championship, the rest have been sub. and he has spent a propertion of this playing out of position in a kick and rush team. Made his name at Scnuthorpe in a quick tempoed passing side...

I don't want us to give them any money.

If anything they should be giving us £1.2million for half-killing our only decent forward!

I should be very disappointed if any of Barnsley's money goes on buying dee-dar rejects.

Billy sharp would be rubbish for us, at his most proliphic for sunthorpe he single handidly hade more shots than most teams in that division had, most of those opertunities were created for him by andy keogh he'd be useless for us as he wouldn't get enough chances coz we have no one to create the chances for him

Blackwell said he was "worth" £4m last season

Why he would be bidding for Jamie Ward?

Probably because Sharp is garbage. I would risk bidding any more than we bid for Ward to be honest. He's completely unproven in the championship.
