If we beat Scnuthorpe have we really started so badly?

    played 5, won 2, lost 2, drawn 1

I'd have taken that before the season started and probably hoped for a better performance at home to Coventry.

If we play against Scnuthorpe like we did for 60 minutes against Plymouth and manage to keep a clean sheet in the process I'd have high hopes this team can avoid looking over its shoulder all season

So far results aren't much different to what I thought, but that could change quickly Vs Scnuthorpe.

If we win, it looks like a good start.

    however................

reports from Saturday indicate the 3-2 win against Blunts was fully deserved and Blunts weren't at the races-a team who were in the Prem last year-so Scunny can't be that easy to beat?

I saw Scunny a couple of times last season. Don't underestimate them, they have a good side, even without Billy Sharp.

Well run club. Organised team. When they have changed managers the amendments to the squad have been steady and have enhanced the team. We could learn summat.

they are playing out of their skin at the moment it will take a real top drawer performance to beat them

Scnuthorpe will take some beating on Saturday

As mentioned, they are a well organised team well managed and look at the early results, especially away results (Charlton) we have to play better than any previous matches to beat them.

By the sounds of things they seem like us last season

At the beginning at least, getting good results due to great team spirit.

Hopefully it'll start going downhill against us, which would be the same sort of time that things started to get bad for us last season.

Need a result because how many points do we think we will pick up at Stoke and Southamption the week after? A win might keep us out of the bottom three by team Cardiff roll into town on 29th

    If We........

don't beat Scunny, we will be in a bad way as they are the type of team we need to be looking to beat. I would hope Hayes would get a good hand from the fans as well.

    RE: If We........

Its an early must win game. Must win because if we don't the confidence will take a right battering and the booing will be heard in Penistone.
