I hope to god we don't give it to Lee Johnson to ***** up the wall on ***** like we did with the initial money for him. The money needs to be used to secure the future of the club, I'd suggest really investing in the academy to ensure he's not the last one to come through. West Stand could do with a lick of paint too, as long as they don't touch the bogs. Or they could use it to lower ticket prices and stop trying to rob the f'cking eyeballs out of hard working people, £27 for League One is a disgrace.

Not that I expect us to use it for owt meaningful, we'll get some more loanees in on inflated wages no doubt.

Is there a sell on fee for John Stones? I wish somebody had mentioned it sooner!

Yes, let's not give a budget to our manager and while we're at it lets just get rid of the club all together. Praise the ******* gods you aren't anywhere near the board

Player investment has to be our top priority.

I'd rather watch us play successful football in a shitehole of a stadium than fail miserably in a nice shiny stadium.

Sorry that was referring to the initial fee that Flicker pissed away buying his mates.

So are you saying you don't trust Johnson to spend wisely because Flitcroft didn't?

We need some urgent investment on the squad.

Paying up three first team contracts early. Having an high earner like Bailey out in the wilderness when it's not certain anybody will come in for him.

I wouldn't have thought they will have been paid up if the manager didn't want them to be. In the next accounts it will be interesting to see expenses for doing that. Money that would have been better spent elsewhere. He'd better hope someone comes in for Bailey or we are stuck with one of our highest earners playing catch up with no real pre season.

How do you know the manager didn't want to try and get a fee for them? It's no fault of the current manager if he does not rate a player signed on high wages by the previous incumbent?

I'm sure we won't put all our eggs in one basket. Some will go to the playing squad, some to the academy, some into the infrastructure.

We could use the money to build a new west stand, but getting back into the championship would be far more important and the extra income could then help us do that if we wanted to

Just to clarify another point here. Whatever sell on percentage we receive, it very rarely comes in one lump sum. It's often paid in a number of installments over the next few seasons.

When this transfer does go through, and it will, it's not like LJ will immediately get a huge war chest. It's more likely to be used so Mr Cryne doesn't have to pump more money into the club.

I know it wouldn't be popular but it will have to be done at some point

just out of interest how much is Bailey on? there seems to be many people on here who say 'he's one of our big earners' without actually knowing, just putting a thought out into the yonder...

if thats what most think, then just about ALL our players on on top wages. if you dont know, dont speculate...

With how long it takes us to sign players it could last 10 years if not longer if it's all spent on transfers
